Cuba: 2012
This winter we made the typical Canadian "escape" and flew from wintry Calgary to Varadero, Cuba. It was our first time to the island and we were anxious to see it in its unspoiled state before the influence of unbridled "free enterprise" changed its face forever. This was our first experience staying in an all-inclusive resort but we did our best to take advantage of tours which would give us glimpses of other parts of Cuba, including Havana.
