Delphi
Delphi is one of the world's great sacred places. One is filled with a sense of peace and balance as one walks the site. Besides the many temple remains, Delphi has a spectacular theatre and stadium. And its museum houses one of the greatest bronze sculptures of all time, the Charioteer. It was rescued from the rubble of an earthquake many years ago.
It's possible to make a daytrip to Delphi from Athens by bus. Worth every minute.
