Kitt Peak
From the moment I knew we would be visiting Tucson, a visit to Kitt Peak was at the top of my list of things to do. I pretty much never pass up an opportunity to visit a major astronomical observatory. Of course to enjoy this visit to the max, we planned to visit at night and signed up for a tour. While waiting for nightfall, we had our first good look at downtown Tucson and it was lovely! We arrived at Kitt Peak just before sunset and my heart sank to see how cloudy it had become. Miraculously the clouds cleared after it got dark.
