Mykonos is a very attractive island with many outstanding beaches and a good bus service to help you get to them. It is a mecca for shoppers and tends to be much more expensive than the rest of Greece. Though lacking in archaelogical sites itself, the sacred island of Delos is only a short ferry ride away and it is FABULOUS--not to miss--one of the star attractions of classical Greece.
