Southeast

For us, the Southeast meant places not too far away from London and to which we could make convenient day trips. During this last stage of our trip we were house-sitting in the small village of North Marston. From there we could take a bus to Oxford or, alternatively, to the Aylesbury train station which would take us directly into London. As a bonus, staying in our North Marston cottage gave us a lovely taste of rural English living.
